Samoa offers it’s visitors a very special holiday experience. Fantastic Fishing, kilometres of white sand beaches, spectacular waterfalls, traditional villages, and a unique people and culture.
The beautiful island of Samoa is situated just across the International Dateline about half way between Australia and North
America. Samoa is the Heart of Polynesia and is one of the last bastions of Polynesian culture. Samoa has a population of around 160,000 people. The majority of whom still practise time honoured customs and the traditional way of life. There are two main islands, Upolo where the capital Apia is located and Savaii The BIG Island.
Samoa offers it’s visitors a very special holiday experience. Fantastic Fishing, kilometres of white sand beaches, spectacular waterfalls, traditional villages, and a unique people and culture. One of the great things about Samoa is that so much of the samoa3.jpgcountry (Ocean and Land) is untouched. Global Commercialisation has not made it’s mark on this Jewel of the Pacific. No large hotel chains and no theme parks. However there are some beautiful world class Golf Courses for those who like to chase the little white ball.
You may arrive as a stranger, but all will leave as friends with a smile on their face that can last forever.
On the days when your not fishing, you should consider hiring a car and tour the islands. Troppo Fishing Adventures can organise this for you . This way you get to see the special places around the island at your own pace. If you have time, we can arrange a ferry pass for you and the car so you can go and explore Savii. We can also arrange accommodation in traditional fales on both islands, where you will personally experience Samoa’s wonderful culture and hospitality.
Of course the best thing about Samoa for us fisho’s is that it is situated smack bang in the middle of the Pacific Ocean
surrounded by waters rich in life virtually untouched by man and until now never having seen a big game or sports fishing vessel.
Don’t miss out. Drop us a line, jump on a plane and get over here. You’ll never regret it.
The area is full of great fishing opportunities. Take advantage of our upcoming season for tarpon fishing in the Key West Harbor, Wreck fishing for Permit, Snapper, Grouper & Cobia, or deep sea fishing for mahi mahi, sailfish and wahoo.
Key West is at the end of the Florida Keys island chain a short drive from South Florida. Key West has a lot to offer to saltwater fisherman as well as non-fishing companions.
Until December and January will offer some of the best fishing action in the Lower Keys and Key West. The offshore fishing along the reef has been great for yellowtail snapper and grouper, plus a few nice mutton snapper mixed in. Offshore fishing has yielded some fun winter action already for sailfish, blackfin tuna and wahoo. We’ve even had some unseasonably large mahi-mahi in the mix.
On the reef there is also a lot of action from large barracuda, king mackerel and cero mackerel. Whether you want to live bait for sailfish or troll offshore for big game fish, this
is a great time to be in the Florida Keys for fishing. Read the rest of this entry »
